One assailant in Skai TV building attack identified

Police have identified one of the assailants in the attack on the building which houses the facilities of Skai TV late last month as a 25-year-old man, while an investigation to find others involved is ongoing.

Authorities said the case file against the suspect will be submitted to a Piraeus prosecutor.

The Skai building was attacked on May 30 by a group of assailants who smashed windows and injured a guard before dispersing.

According to reports, the attackers were Olympiakos basketball club fans who were passing the building after the team’s victory over archrival Panathinakos.
