British sailors in Piraeus brawl
The coast guard is investigating an incident involving two British sailors from a warship involved in NATO operations that led to a Greek port worker being injured, Shipping Minister Theodoros Dritsas said on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the day. It is believed that the two sailors were drunk when they became involved in an argument with the local stevedore.
Dritsas said it was an isolated incident and had nothing to do with the recent protests by workers against the privatization of the Piraeus Port Authority (OLP).
