Greek conservative chief to attend Bilderberg conference in Germany
Greece’s conservative opposition leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis is among the attendees at this year’s influential Bilderberg conference.
The guest list for the annual event, which begins on Thursday in Dresden, Germany, was released Tuesday and includes about 140 senior politicians and business leaders.
IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, and former European Commission president Jose Barroso are also expected to attend the three-day talks to be held under tight security at Hotel Taschenbergpalais.
A number of topics are up for discussion including China, European migration, the Middle East, Russia and American politics.
The events are held under Chatham House Rules, meaning that while participants can use the information received, comments and views should not be publicly attributed to any individual.
No minutes are taken of meetings, and no resolutions are proposed.
