Moderate tremors rattle Cephalonia
Two moderate tremors measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale rattled the Ionian island of Cephalonia at on Tuesday morning, the Geodynamic Institute reported.
The first of the quakes struck at 7.50 a.m. and the second about 10 minutes later, the institute said. Both epicenters were located west of the main town of Argostoli, though at different distances.
Cephalonia is prone to earthquakes and suffered significant damage in a double quake in 2014.
