Psychiatric hospital employees protest outside Labor Ministry

Employees at the Dromokaitio Psychiatric Hospital in Haidari on Wednesday protested outside the Labor Ministry over delayed payments by the government.

Workers, who say they have not been paid in the past 5 months, blocked the entrance to the ministry and set up a traditional cooking stove where they cooked beans for themselves.

The clinic recently received 90,000 euros in emergency funding but, workers allege, the sum is not enough to pay their salaries.
