EOPYY doctors to launch go-slow action Wednesday
Doctors registered with Greece’s main national healthcare provider EOPYY will launch go-slow action on Wednesday in protest at their nonpayment by the organization.
The action means that patients insured with EOPYY will be obliged to pay directly for consultations with doctors or visit state hospitals.
The doctors described their contract with EOPYY as “a bond of serfdom,” noting that the organization’s protracted policy of nonpayment had “discredited medical work.”
