Thessaloniki robbers steal bag with 55,000 euros in cash

Police were looking on Monday for two men who stole a woman’s bag containing 55,000 euros in cash in the Langadas district of Thessaloniki, in northern Greece, earlier in the day.

Authorities said the victim was preparing to deposit the money, the takings of a gas station, at a local bank. The robbers allegedly fired a gun in the air as they drove off on a motorcycle.
