Union calls on Greek air traffic controllers to strike Thursday
The Union of Greek Air Traffic Controllers on Monday called on its members to take part in Thursday’s strike by ADEDY, the civil servants’ union.
ADEDY has called a 24-hour strike to protest the government’s pension reforms.
There will also be a rally in Klafthmonos Square, central Athens, at 11 a.m.
It is not clear if the call from union leaders will lead to a strike by air traffic controllers as these are often blocked by the courts.
Anyone traveling to or from Athens International Airport on Thursday should contact their airline for more information.
