Lawyers extend strike action through April 15
Lawyers are extending their ongoing nationwide strike over the government’s planned pension reforms until April 15, following a decision on Tuesday by a plenary session of the country’s bar associations.
The lengthy strike has added to the already extensive backlog of court cases.
Meanwhile civil servants are also protesting the pension reforms this week and continued to stay away from state council and committee meetings after a decision by the civil servants’ union ADEDY. Their action will continue until Friday.
