Greek PM says fear cannot ‘prevail’ in Europe
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Tuesday expressed his support for the people of Belgium following at least two deadly bomb attacks at its capital’s airport and metro system.
“Greece stands in solidarity with the citizens of Belgium and EU,” Tsipras wrote on Twitter. “We can’t allow fear, religious hatred and racism to prevail in Europe.”
Tsipras has called an emergency meeting at his office in Athens in the wake of the attacks, summoning Defense Minister Panos Kammenos and Citizens' Protection Minister Nikos Toskas.
