Doctor arrested for demanding bribe
An Athens hospital doctor has been arrested for demanding a 350 euro bribe to perform surgery on a child, authorities said on Saturday.
The young girl’s parents agreed but notified authorities, who arrested the doctor after he performed the surgery and received the bribe in marked bills.
He was to appear before a prosecutor over the weekend.
