Two charged over child pornography

A retired pharmacist and a court bailiff, aged 72 and 34 respectively, have been arrested in Athens and Ioannina for trading child pornography over the Internet.

Charges were also levelled at a 41-year-old woman for aiding and abetting the two men.

The suspects were tracked down after months of surveillance conducted by authorities as part of global operation to clamp down on child pornography.

In a search of their homes, police found hundreds of files containing images and videos and confiscated computers and other storage devices.
