Man arrested at border with seven bars of gold

A Turkish man has been arrested at the Kipoi border crossing in northeastern Greece after seven bars of gold were found in his luggage, authorities said on Friday.

According to customs officials, the bars weighed a total of 6.3 kilos.

The man was traveling on a bus from Athens to Istanbul and did not have any paperwork to accompany the gold he was carrying with him.
