Athens police set to clamp down on unruly drivers
Traffic police in Athens are to start an awareness campaign from Tuesday aimed at lowering the number of car accidents.
Officers will be informing drivers about dangerous driving, while there will also be more patrols aimed at catching drivers who break traffic rules.
Authorities said that some of the practices they will seek to stamp out are failing to stop at a red light, not using seatbelts and child seats, speeding, driving a car that has not passed its annual roadworthiness test and driving while speaking on a mobile phone.
