Two arrested over Patissia murder
Two men have been arrested for the murder of an 83-year-old man who was found dead in his apartment in the central Athens neighborhood of Patissia on Tuesday.
The two men, Georgian nationals aged 39 and 47, were arrested near the scene of the alleged murder by members of the motorcycle-riding DIAS squad who were called by the pensioner’s neighbors.
Police said that the 39-year-old confessed to strangling the 83-year-old after the pair broke into his home to rob him.
