Hospital walkout planned for Thursday
Workers at the KAT, Sismanoglio, Amalia Fleming and Penteli Pediatric public hospitals in Athens will be walking off the job for three hours starting at noon Thursday and staging a rally on the corner of Kifissias and Pentelis avenues.
The workers are protesting planned social security reforms and changes to the civil service wage structure. They are also calling for more hirings and funding at public hospitals across the country.
