PASOK calls for minister to quit after party HQ hit again
PASOK called for Citizens’ Protection Minister Nikos Toskas to resign on Saturday after the party’s headquarters in central Athens were firebombed again.
The building suffered two attacks on Friday night, one in which MP Giorgos Arvanitidis was hit by a Molotov cocktail.
The lawmaker was not injured.
PASOK leader Fofi Gennimata labeled Toskas “dangerous” and “incompetent.”
She said that if Toskas is not removed, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras would be held responsible for any incidents in the future.
PASOK’s headquarters had been attacked twice before in the previous days.
The latest raid was condemned by SYRIZA and New Democracy.
The conservatives called on Toskas to ensure that political parties, as well as citizens, are protected.
No arrests were made following Friday’s attacks.
