Farmers close Athens-Thessaloniki highway in central Greece
Farmers in central Greece protesting against planned pension reforms have shut the Athens-Thessaloniki national highway at the Vale of Tempe.
The roadblock was put in place at noon and is expected to remain there until late in the evening.
Farmers have created dozens of roadblocks around the country in a bid to force the government to reconsider plans to raise their tax and social security contributions.
