Blackmailers posted intimate images of woman online
The Greek Police’s Cyber Crime Unit on Tuesday issued charges against two men, aged 45 and 47, who are alleged to have sought to blackmail a 34-year-old Georgian woman using photographs and videos of her during intimate moments with her husband.
The pair, who remained at large on Tuesday night, allegedly asked the woman for 8,000 euros, threatening to post the material online unless the money was paid.
The 34-year-old refused to pay her blackmailers and, a few days later, discovered that the photographs and videos had been posted on a social networking site under a profile bearing her name.
A subsequent investigation led police to the Attica homes of the two alleged perpetrators and established that the material had been uploaded onto the Internet from their computers.
