Two Paris attack suspects traveled together to Greece

Two of the key suspects in the Paris terrorist attacks took a passenger ferry from Bari in Italy to Patra on August 1 and returned from Greece the same way four days later, Kathimerini understands.

One of the suspects, Ahmed Dahmani, was arrested in Turkey on November 15, while the other, Salah Abdeslam, remains at large. Sources told Kathimerini that Greek authorities notified their counterparts in Belgium at the time that Abdeslam had passed through the Greek port of Patra as he had been placed on an Schengen Area watch list.

Abdeslam is a Belgian-born French national, while Dahmani is a Belgian of Moroccan origin.

Authorities assume the two men traveled to Greece to meet with other terrorists who had made their way from Syria and supply them with forged travel documents.
