Greek road accidents drop 8.3 pct y-o-y in October

Traffic accidents in the month of October decreased by 8.3 percent compared to the same period last year, data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) showed on Wednesday, with the number of fatalities on the roads down by 26.7 percent year-on-year.

There were 919 road accidents in October, down from 1,011 in October 2014, while 55 people died on Greece’s roads in October compared to 75 in October 2014.
