Lawyer in hospital after being shot in southern Athens
A prominent lawyer best known for his involvement in sports-related cases was shot outside his office in the southern Athenian suburb of Paleo Faliro on Monday evening.
Argyris Livas was leaving his office when two unknown assailants riding a motorcycle and wearing crash helmets shot him three times in the legs before speeding off.
The lawyer, who has represented several teams in the country’s top-flight Super League soccer championship, is being treated at Tzaneio Hospital in Piraeus.
An investigation is under way to identify the shooters.
