Syrian teenager found dead in trench near border

An 18-year-old Syrian was found dead in a trench in Evros, northeastern Greece, on Saturday. Authorities said that there were no initial signs of any foul play but that a postmortem would determine the cause of death.

Although most refugees and migrants enter Greece via its eastern Aegean islands, some try to cross its land border with Turkey in Evros, where the temperature often drops below zero at night.
