Police find cannabis farm in Kypseli storage space

A 42-year-old man has been arrested on charges of illegal drugs and arms possession, authorities said on Saturday.

According to initial reports, the suspect was allegedly cultivating cannabis plants in a storage space in an apartment block in the area of Kypseli, central Athens.

During a search of the premises, police officers discovered and confiscated 22 cannabis plants, three replica guns, a semi-automatic gun as well as parcels containing 820 grams of cannabis.

After facing a prosecutor over the weekend, the suspect is expected to face a magistrate.
