Armed robbers make off with 100,000 euros

Police on Thursday were looking for two men who made off with a cash delivery at a bank in Athens, worth 100,000 euros.

The robbery took place at around 11.30 a.m. in the suburb of Zografou as a security firm was replenishing an ATM at a branch of the National Bank.

The two men were armed with guns and threatened the security staff who were making the delivery. They grabbed the cash and sped off on a motorcycle, according to the police report.
