GD murder trial witness threatened in court
The trial of Golden Dawn members charged with involvement in the murder of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas was adjourned early on Wednesday after one of the suspects threatened a witness.
In court, student Dimitra Zorzou identified Yiannis Kazatzoglou as being in the car carrying Giorgos Roupakias, the man who stabbed Fyssas to death.
She was challenged by Kazatzoglou but when the student insisted that she had seen the suspect on the night of Fyssas’s murder in September 2013, he shouted threats at her.
“Let me out and I’ll show her,” shouted Kazatzoglou in the courtroom.
Zorzou broke down in tears and the judge brought proceedings to a halt.
The case is due to resume on December 2.
