Lefkada schools to reopen Monday
Schools on the Ionian island of Lefkada were expected to reopen Monday following a 6.1-Richter earthquake last week.
Only two of the island’s schools, the Vassiliki high school and the 5th Lefkada kindergarten, were not expected to open.
Meanwhile, a 4.6-Richter quake shook the island in the early hours of Saturday, the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory reported.
The tremor was part of aftershock activity and its epicenter was 10 kilometers off the island’s southwestern coast.
