Street on which rapper Pavlos Fyssas was murdered named after him

The street on which anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas was killed by a member of neo-fascist Golden Dawn in September 2013 has been renamed after the musician.

The street name was changed from Panagi Tsaldari Street to Pavlou Fyssa Street after a decision by the municipal council in Keratsini, near Piraeus. Workmen switched the signs on Monday morning.

A monument to Fyssas has also been erected at the spot where he was stabbed to death by Giorgos Roupakias, who is currently on trial along with other Golden Dawn members.
