Police in Thessaloniki on Wednesday arrested 15 people following a raid on the grounds of the city’s Aristotle University and surrounding streets, most of them on drug-related charges.
Three of the detainees, arrested in the university’s courtyard, are suspected drug dealers. Officers seized small amounts of cannabis and cash from the suspects.
Another nine people arrested on the university’s grounds were detained on charges of possession. They also had drugs and cash on them, police said.
Three more suspects were arrested a few blocks from the university in possession of 200 packets of contraband cigarettes and 21 packages of bootleg tobacco, police said.
