Cannabis smuggler nabbed at Athens Airport
Customs officials at Athens International Airport found nearly 17 kilograms of cannabis in the luggage of an incoming passenger from Madrid, authorities said on Tuesday.
The drugs – which weighed in at 16.8 kilos – were detected by sniffer dogs and confiscated, according to police sources.
No details were made public about the suspect, who subsequently faced a prosecutor on drug-smuggling charges.
