No public transport services in Athens after 9 p.m.
There will be no service on the Athens metro, electric railway and tram from 9 p.m. on Tuesday until Wednesday morning due to a protest by employees.
The Proastiakos suburban railway will not be affected.
The work stoppage has been called to protest what their unions see as poor management of these modes of public transport in the capital.
They also argue that a new restructuring plan drawn up by authorities fails to show in any tangible way what benefits will result from the proposed changes.
The unions also claim there is a shortage of rolling stock on the Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway (ISAP) and that transport authorities have failed to introduce all of the new metro trains purchased for Line 3.
