Two arrested in Athens over sale of dodgy vodka
A 20-year-old man was arrested and a 43-year-old man faces charges after the Financial Police raided a bar in central Athens and found that it was using adulterated alcohol.
Officers seized 71 bottles of alcohol, which was labeled as vodka. It has been sent to state laboratories for tests.
The 20-year-old was managing the bar at the time and was arrested on the spot.
The 43-year-old owner is being sought.
Police said that the state missed out on revenues of 672 euros due to the sale of untaxed alcohol at the bar.
