Five men behind Porto Rafti murder, police says

Police said Tuesday that they believe five men who are already in prison were responsible for murdering a 75-year-old man at his home in Porto Rafti, eastern Attica, in December 2012.

According to officers, the five Roma men broke into the pensioner’s house and strangled him before making off with valuables and his car, which was found burned several kilometers away.

The five suspects are believed to have carried out robberies in several parts of the country.
