Fyssas’s sister testifies at Golden Dawn trial
The sister of slain Greek anti-racist rapper Pavlos Fyssas took the stand at the Golden Dawn trial on Thursday. Irini Fyssa began her testimony by recounting the events of September 18, 2013, the day her brother was fatally stabbed by Giorgos Roupakias, a member of the neo-Nazi party in Keratsini, a Piraeus suburb.
Her testimony followed that of her mother, Magda Fyssa, who took the stand for a second time on Tuesday.
Magda Fyssa told the court that a review of evidence collected by the prosecution showed that Roupakias was allegedly on the command of the neo-Nazi’s Nikaia branch leader, Giorgos Patelis, who had previously spoken on the telephone with lawmaker Yiannis Lagos.
