Hospital directors about to undergo job evaluations

Directors  at Greek public hospitals are set to be evaluated in line with the demands of Greece’s international creditors, Kathimerini understands.

According to legislation implemented in early 2014, hospital directors are appointed for three years and subject to annual progress reviews.

The creditors are said to have objected to the approach taken by the previous government, insisting there should be no political intervention in state appointments.

Out of 180 hospital directors and deputy directors, at least 15 have resigned over the last eight months, while one director was dismissed by the ministry.
