Greek radical leftists harassed in Ukraine by far-right supporters
Officials from anti-bailout Popular Unity party who traveled to the Ukrainian city of Odessa were harassed by members of the far-right Right Sector on Wednesday.
The group of Greek leftists included former ministers Nadia Valavani and Costas Isichos, who were hoping to meet members of the local Greek community and nongovernmental organizations.
Diplomatic sources said officials from the local Greek consulate stepped in to ensure the situation did not get out of hand.
Popular Unity said that as a result of the incident, the visiting group had to change its plans.
