Fourth patient dies at Dafni mental hospital in one month
A patient at Dafni psychiatric hospital died after escaping from the facility, bringing the number of deaths connected to the facility to four this month.
It emerged on Saturday that the 32-year-old man attempted to kill himself on Thursday, just a day after being taken to the facility on a prosecutors’ orders.
The man escaped from the facility’s outpatient area, where he was being cared for after slitting his wrists.
He was found dead several hours later in a nearby wooded area.
In May, a patient murdered another, while a month ago three patients died in a fire at the hospital.
