Bus drivers in Thessaloniki to strike on Wednesday
There will be no buses in the port city of Thessaloniki of Wednesday as drivers walk off the job in protest at payment delays.
Workers at the OASTH transport company claim that a demand for overdue back pay has been ignored by the Finance Ministry.
“We will proceed with the action we had announced and no buses will be in circulation on any shift tomorrow, unless we get a response from the relevant ministries,” the president of the OASTH workers’ union, Dimitris Tsermenidis, told state-run Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Tuesday.
