Parties prepare for Athens rallies ahead of Sunday’s elections
Greece’s political parties have begun announcing the date and times of their main campaign rallies ahead of Sunday’s elections.
Popular Unity, the anti-bailout party formed by SYRIZA rebels, is due to hold its main rally at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday in Omonia Square, central Athens. Apart from party leader Panayiotis Lafazanis, former parliamentary speaker Zoe Constantopoulou will also speak at the event.
On the same night and at the same time, PASOK will hold its rally at Kotzia Square in downtown Athens.
The Communist Party’s rally will be at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Syntagma Square.
