Ten refugees drown off Farmakonisi, dozens rescued
The bodies of 10 people, including 1 child, have been recovered from the sea near the eastern Aegean island of Farmakonisi after a dinghy carrying refugees and migrants capsized on Sunday.
Authorities said they believe there were at least 100 people on board the vessel. The coast guard saved 68 people, while another 29 reached safety by swimming to Farmakonisi.
The search for more refugees from the boat continued on Sunday.
Four people, all believed to be children, went missing when a boat carrying refugees overturned near the island of Samos on Saturday.
