ND combines new and old, says Meimarakis as party moves to former HQ
New Democracy leader Evangelos Meimarakis spoke to a crowd of conservative party supporters on Rigillis Street in central Athens on Tuesday night.
The speech marked New Democracy’s return to the building where its offices were housed until 2011, when the party moved to Syngrou Avenue.
Antonis Samaras, who instigated that move, and his predecessor Costas Karamanlis attended yesterday’s speech, along with a number of party officials from past and present.
"New Democracy is the new and old together," said Meimarakis.
