Drug smuggler, dealers collared in Drama

Officers from the anti-drugs squad of the northern city of Drama questioned a 29-year-old Bulgarian national and two Greeks, aged 28 and 37, on Saturday following their arrest on Friday in connection with nearly a kilogram of cannabis that was smuggled into the country from Bulgaria.

The 29-year-old is alleged to have brought the drugs across the border in three packages which he then sold to the other two suspects.

A search on the home of the 37-year-old turned up 998 grams of cannabis, divided into 10 plastic bags, as well as smaller quantities of cocaine, amphetamines and ecstasy.
