Patients to pay EOPYY doctors next week as medics protest at overdue fees
Patients visiting doctors who are in the service of national health provider EOPYY will have to pay the full cost of their visit next week, as medics are refusing to treat patients insured with EOPYY in protest at overdue fees.
According to the Association of EOPYY Doctors, medics with the service have yet to be paid arrears that date as far back as 2010.
They said that for the five-day duration of their protest, patients will have to pay the full consultation fee and can then redeem the cost by submitting the receipt to their local EOPYY branch.
