Police arrest bank robber in Thessaloniki

Police in Thessaloniki on Thursday arrested a 51-year-old man who is suspected of having carried out a bank robbery in the northern port city the previous day.

A man wielding a gun and wearing a hat and sunglasses threatened tellers at the bank on Wednesday and made off with 6,850 euros.

Police searched the suspect’s home and business and found 855 euros in cash and a replica pistol.
