Doctors get into row with healthcare provider over debt
Doctors who work with the country’s main healthcare provider EOPYY on Monday responded to a threat by the organization to suspend their contracts by issuing their own threat to embark on go-slow action in protest at funding cutbacks in their sector.
In a statement, the doctors said they “have been working for months, despite being unpaid and without the security of the extension of our contracts… serving citizens, with a sense of responsibility.”
The workers are insisting that a decision to extend their contracts should be issued by the Government Gazette.
