Juncker: Fear made possible deal between Greece, creditors
It was fear that led to an agreement between Greece and its creditors in Brussels, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has said.
“The worst was avoided,” Juncker said in an interview with Belgian newspaper Le Soir made public Wednesday, adding that “it is fear that made the deal possible.”
“After fear there is always relief,” he said.
In the same interview, Juncker said that Greece would be wrong to feel humiliated as the Commission had done everything possible to cut corners.
