Homes evacuated as Peloponnese forest fire threatens residential areas
Strong winds fanned a fire that broke out near Neapoli Voion, in Greece's Peloponnese region, early on Friday.
More than 120 firefighters using 50 trucks were involved in the operation to tackle the blaze, assisted by four water dropping airplanes and two helicopters.
Authorities have evacuated the villages Faraklo, Lachi, Aghios Nikolaos and Mesochori.
