Tusk calls off EU summit, only eurozone leaders to meet
A meeting of European Union leaders scheduled to take place on Sunday evening in Brussels has been called off, European Council President Donald Tusk revealed on Sunday morning.
“I have cancelled #EUCO today. #EuroSummit to start at 16h and last until we conclude talks on #Greece,” tweeted Tusk.
This means that the meeting of just eurozone leaders is due to go ahead and is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Greek time.
A meeting of eurozone finance ministers was adjourned on Saturday evening after a failure to reach an agreement on a third bailout program for Greece.
The Eurogroup was due to resume at noon Greek time on Sunday.
