KKE’s Koutsoumbas calls on people to brace for any developments
The head of the Greek Communist Party (KKE), Dimitris Koutsoumbas on Sunday called on the people to brace for any developments from Sunday’s referendum, “whether these lead to a new destructive agreement, essentially a memorandum with tough measures, or initiate a process for an exit from the euro, a dual currency with our people in a state of bankruptcy.”
Speaking to press after voting in Nea Ionia, northern Athens, Koutsoumbas said that “KKE will continue to be on the front line of the fight so that our people have some relief from immediate survival issues, to pave the way for the abolition of all the anti-popular measures in a rift with the European Union.”
