Operation Pangea deals blow to illegal medicines trade
Three websites which are said to have facilitated the illegal trade of medicines are no longer accessible in Greece following an investigation involving the Greek Police’s cyber crimes squad.
The websites were located following complaints lodged with the National Pharmaceutical Organization and in the context of a broader international operation code-named Pangea and coordinated by Interpol.
The Interpol sweep involved police officers in 115 countries and led to 2,414 websites being taken offline and large quantities of medicine being confiscated.
